I recently completed a new niche dating site for UK black singles.

This takes my dating portfolio up to 13 sites & I think that’s enough for now!

There may be some other niche site opportunities in the future, but for now I need to focus on promoting the existing ones!

I’ve been running an Adwords campaign for UK Black Dating & this has been pretty successful so far – good click through rates & a good number of sign-ups as a result! The CPC on this site isn’t too bad either, at just £1 per click, which is very low for a dating site! I’ve utilised negative terms to avoid non-relevant clicks and created different Ad Groups for men, women & general long tail phrases, with multiple ads in each group.

I’ve decided to target any new dating sites to more niche markets & to this end, have just set up Uniformed Dating, using the Dating Factory platform, which allows for a wide range of targeted sites, such as uniformed, vegetarian, disabled, BBW, black etc.

This choice was taken after carrying out some research into the most popular & well searched terms on Google. It appears that uniform dating is a very popular phrase, with over 70K searches a month at present & relatively low competition. Obviously, there is an established uniformed dating site (which advertises on national television), but in comparison to the generic dating sites, this appears to be a comparatively unsaturated market at the moment!

Uniformed Dating is free to join and has lots of women and men in uniform including Police Officers, Firemen (and women), Soldiers, Military Singles, RAF Personnel, Nurses, Doctors, Pilots and even Civilian Air Crew – in fact, ANYONE who wears a UNIFORM!

I’ve been spending a lot of time recently on my internet dating sites, with a load of new sites & promotion efforts. I also hope cross promotion will entice some new members to join.

I’ve recently launched Mature Singles Dating (I already had a mature dating site – Find Me Mature Singles, but the search phrase “Mature Singles Dating” was more regularly appearing in Google searches), Dating Single Parents & expanded Find Me Dates into the USA, South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia & Canada!

There is also a US Adult Dating site imaginatively titled USAdults Dating )    I built two sites dedicated to 30 somethings & 40 somethings, purchased the domain Find Me Cougar Women to cater for all those 40 something ladies that are looking for hot toyboys & am currently expanding the Find Me Dates site into regions – Find Me Dates Essex for example! There is also a UK Christian Dating site & the possibility of further niche sites in the future.

I’ve set up a Facebook page & a Twitter account for the Find Me Dates Group as I am now calling it & trying to find the time to write articles, build links & add content to the sites & social networks – PHEW! I would also like to give the Gay & Lesbian sites a makeover when I find the time!

I’ve finally got round to setting up my gay dating website, for which I’ve had the domain name for months! Using the “Find Me” moniker/brand, I today launched Find Me Gay Dates. I also have Find Me Lesbian Dates to set up, but there don’t seem to be many new members joining the database, so I’m not going to rush it.

But in a mad flurry of dating action(!), I also set up Find Me Mature Singles, which is a dating site for older singles (aged 46+). I picked this age as there are a number of sites for over 40′s or over 50′s, but I think 46 is more representative of a true “middle age” )  Oh, what the hell, I just wanted to be different lol. The actual age range of members on this site is 46-80 & the mature singles market seems to be quite popular at the moment, se we’ll see if this site does better than Find Me Dates which starts from 18.

I blogged previously about Find Me Dates, my new dating website built using the White Label Dating system. With some limited advertising, using Gumtree, Facebook & Miva, I have already had some members sign up as paying members, but at the moment, the cost of advertising is more than the money received from memberships /

Following on from this, I also launched an adult dating site, Find Me Adult Dates, which has had as many paying members join up without ANY advertising, other than a free ad on Gumtree!

The landing page has been optimised for adult dating keyphrases – casual relationships, casual sex, adult finder, adult dating, adult contacts, adult sex contacts, adult chatrooms, sex personals, adult online dating, which all had a good KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index), which is the ration of searches to results in the search engines.

I have set up a PPC campaign on Miva and have added the site to a couple of banner exchanges, so will keep an eye on how it goes.

Some time ago, I set up a white label dating site, using the DIY Dating webmaster programme.

The site, Looking4Me, is still running but I have to be honest & say it was pretty much a “build & leave it” job; I really haven’t spent much effort in promoting it – added it to a couple of dating traffic exchanges and did some link exchanges, but other projects took over & I felt that the dating market was far too competitive to spend time & money on PPC. I have had 205 people sign up & few have even paid for a membership (they join the existing membership, totalling about 300000 members), but I still haven’t done much pushing of the site.

However, I recently received a brochure from White Label Dating, stating that they had a number of site owners earning considerable sums from their websites (between £20k & £30k a month!!). Obviously, I am not aiming for anything like this, but it seems that Internet Dating is still a booming industry & it would be stupid to not try & take advantage of it as an affiliate marketer!

So I decided to give it a go & set up another dating site, Find Me Dates, using the White Label Dating system. There are a number of big name companies using their system, but it seemed they were all using a landing page, rather than using the white label site as their home page. So I’ve done the same thing myself. A landing page allows you to optimise for search engines & make the site look good.

I was able to add features from the dating engine to the landing page, such as a member search & pictures of the newest members & then any click through takes the user to the membership pages. The landing page has been optimised for 10 dating keyphrases – london dating, dating agencies, dating agency, friend finder, online dating, uk singles, dating site, uk dating, internet dating, dating girls, which all had a good KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index), which is the ration of searches to results in the search engines. I will be submitting to web directories, using combinations of these keywords to generate inbound links & will see how the rankings go.

In addition, I am considering a PPC campaign on Miva, but still need to carry out research on the cost per click for what is a competitive sector – I may have to pick some very exact, long tail phrases to start with!
