Google PageRank Update on New Years Eve!
Filed under: Google, Search Engine Rankings; No CommentsGoogle made one final PageRank update for 2008 by updating their toolbar rankings on new years eve! This update applies to the PageRank value shown in the Google toolbar, which is Google’s rating on the popularity of your website.
As most people are aware, the toolbar PageRank values can be a few months old and can also be different from the live values Google is using right at the moment. But at least the update may provide some popularity insights for new sites that have been working to improve their rankings.
My bidding directory site went from PR2 to PR3 & the Cashback Shopper blog rose from PR1 to PR2, although the main site stayed at PR3.
Google have confirmed this update has been applied as of the 31st December.
