How To Go For The Best Off Page SEO Techniques

October 16, 2010 By freshwebz

Learn More About Off Page SEO

Off page SEO is both very simple and very effective at the same time. If you are having doubts with this, let me tell you that to achieve the best results with this, all you need to do is provide the maximum number of links on the other sites that direct viewers to your site. It is as simple as that! But there are a few points that need consideration when you talk about SEO, be it off page or on page. Let us look at the search engine optimization techniques that can be done off page!

Look For The Most Popular Pages

When you have links pointing to your site from websites that are the most popular ones on the internet, the results are much better. This is because when a site has a lot of visitors and the link to your website has been provided on such a site, the number of visitors coming across the link is much higher than in the other cases. This means that chances of people actually clicking on the links to visit your site is also higher. This increases the traffic to your site, and you get more hits. These are very helpful for your off page SEO.

However don’t go for sites that have hundreds of links on them, as the chances of people finding your links on such sites may be less than the other sites. But always post links wherever you can, as the more number of links pointing to your site, the better it is for your traffic.

Get Links On Sites With Related Content

Make sure you have links on sites or pages that are based on topics that have some relation to your site. If you are dealing in sport shoes, and the links to your site are on a page that talks about World War II, it might not be very effective for your off page SEO.

Age Of The Links

Try to ensure that the links you post online will stay there for a long time, as older links are seen to provide more traffic than the newer ones. Check for sites that will let your articles and content stay on them for a very long period of time.

Lastly, try to use keywords and key phrases in your articles that you post instead of using the URL of your site. Hence, instead of www.clickfortraffictoyoursite.com try to use something like “get more traffic” and attach a hyperlink to it pointing to your site. This also shows a better result with traffic to your site and more effective off page SEO.

SEO Mistakes To Avoid In Your Online Business

October 15, 2010 By freshwebz

The frequently-changing search engine algorithms are responsible for the dynamic nature of search engine optimization. In this scenario, when a beginner tries his hand at SEO and puts in the effort to make it work, he is bound to make mistakes if he hasn’t come prepared.

It’s just that the exact same mistakes are made by people, and they’re repeated all the time every day. But to be fair, it’s relatively easy to make these mistakes, and there are a lot of reasons for that including following the wrong information. The task is find information that you can verify to be legitimate, and then set about to learn before you set about doing it. We’re going to serve-up a few of the more commonly seen SEO blunder, and then you’ll be able to avoid them in your own campaigns. Do not be left behind, get Anik Singal’s new program at this Empire Formula web page.

The single greatest error with SEO, by very many marketers, is they use keywords that are incorrect. All online marketers, whether they do SEO or not, still recognize and know how important keywords, and phrases, are to proper SEO. The very basic explanation is that surfers looking in search engines use keywords to find what they’re looking for. If you don’t optimize your site, or blog, for the terms that match the content on your site, then people may arrive there thinking they’ll find something else and that’s not good. No doubt you can receive traffic by targeting the wrong keywords, but in the end, it doesn’t really help because only a tiny percentage of your traffic will convert. Therefore you need to do your research and use those terms that people are using in the search engines. Do your homework and take the right steps.

Failing to get the most advantage in terms of SEO has to do with your URL, or domain name. Dynamic URLs still work and do get ranked, but that doesn’t give you a reason to not leverage your URL for SEO purposes. Ok, what you’ll is use secondary keywords in your site filename extensions, and then put your primary keyword/phrase in your domain name, or URL. This is still a proven and valid way to give your site the best chances of ranking well, with backlinking of course, and will hold in all the major search engines. Whenever you see what Anik Singal is doing now you aren’t going to feel your eyes. Take a search at this Anik Singal page.

Backlink spamming is pretty common, but it is a practice you would best serve yourself by avoiding.

It is just not necessary to link spam anything – blogs, forums, and do stay away from link farms. If you engage in these practices you are risking getting your site deindexed or your domain banned. The very best approach is to obtain one-way links from high quality and relevant websites. This is harder to do and will take longer, but your rankings will be very strong and not subject to the ups and downs so many others experience.

If your site isn’t seeing much traffic coming from search engines, you may need to analyze what you could be doing wrong and amend it. Be honest with your analysis of the way your site is now and you’ll find it easier to uncover any problem areas. The sooner you find problems, the faster you can fix them. Always keep in mind that SEO is constantly changing and evolving. Take small steps with your SEO, continue learning all your can about any new practices or ideas and you’ll find you’re able to stay one step ahead of your competitors. The more you educate yourself, the easier it will be for you to grasp these concepts.

The Top Converting SEO Copy Methods

September 29, 2010 By freshwebz

SEO Copywriting is the skill and art of developing content that is appealing to search engines but is also interesting and logical for human readers. You could also say that you’re writing and working with focus to give your target market the content it needs and at the same time helping the search engines find the content. Never-the-less, if your thoughts are that this is about just stuffing your content with keywords, then you have misjudged it. The idea behind SEO copywriting is not to add random keywords to your content but to build the content around the keywords. This article discusses a few useful tips that you can use right now that to help with SEO copywriting.

Search engines are smarter than in the past and so only rank content that humans will find useful. That means you will have to focus on providing quality content if you hope to be a successful copywriter. What are people looking for when they use the search engines to find information? They’re looking for something that offers them that quality and gives them a solution to their problems. One of the main reasons why writers fail to create a SEO centric copy is because they give more emphasis on the quantity of the content, rather than the quality. It’s important to create content that provides the necessary information but that also utilizes the proper keywords to help the search engines. Search engines put a lot of importance on content that gives readers useful information. Great SEO copy provides you with a lot of benefits. For instance, when your readers find that the content is highly useful, especially the bloggers, they’ll link to it. Again, this would help you increase your search engine rankings because you’ll be getting backlinks. Therefore, you now see that creating content that relates is so effective. Keep in mind when you’re writing your content that you need to make it easier for search engines to index it correctly. Keep your content shown as plain text and avoid flash or words written on graphics as these don’t contribute to your rankings. Search engines won’t be able to read flash, which means your webpage wouldn’t get indexed. This can damage your ranking results in the search engines.

When you’re using images within your copy, you need to realize the importance of adding captions to describe those images. The captions won’t be used to help your readers, they’ll instead be used by search engines like Google to find out how your images are being utilized. This is why it’s important to utilize your keywords in the captions you use for your images so that the search engines will rank you higher. In summary, SEO copywriting is a skill that takes time to develop, so make sure you put in the effort to see great results.

Internal links can improve your rankings

April 13, 2010 By freshwebz

While many website owners focus on obtaining external links, it’s easy to miss internal link building, which is still an effective way to boost rankings for other pages within your website and the the best part of Internal Linking is that you have complete control over the implementation!

To get the highest possible return for your SEO, follow these simple guidelines to ensure internal links are working to improve your rankings.

1. Optimise the anchor text
You should ensure your anchor text targets your core keyword for the page. This is a good tactic to use in site-wide footer links, or even in the navigation, provided what you put there still makes sense for your visitors.

2. Ensure all links are do-follow
Google ignores link value from any links marked as “nofollow”, so make sure that you haven’t marked internal links with the “nofollow” attribute.

3. Use content based links where appropriate
Aside from the main navigation and footer links, linking to the main pages within the body text of your web page is another way to help rankings. Remember that it’s important to use your target keywords as anchor text, but make sure the actual text fits within the context of the sentence, so that the link doesn’t look out of place or seem irrelevant

4. Keep the total link numbers low
Make a note of the total number of links on any given page and try and keep this number as low as possible. This is because individual link “juice” is divided amongst ALL the links (external and internal) on the page, so the less links you have, the more value each link is going to pass on. Having hundreds of links on a page will dilute the effect of each link to almost nothing!

If you follow these simple guidelines, you should start to see some positive effect on the rankings for your keywords.
