Altering Communication – Social Media Websites

October 5, 2010 By freshwebz

Social Media websites have grown phenomenally in recent years. Millions of people use social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. to connect with their virtual friends and share important tit-bits of their life. Wikipedia estimates that 1. 5 billion people use social Media websites. This speaks of the enormous power of social sites in terms of its reach.

It has become possible to keep track of friends and their activities on these social media sites. For example, If Jack is dating Jill, they can post their status on Facebook informing their mutual friends. If they break up with each other, they can post an update informing their friends. A person holding the seminar can send a tweet to his followers on Twitter if there is a change in schedule. This way of communicating has made the entire process of communication fun.

The popularity of social sites has proved the notion that consumer is the king. The consumer is no longer at the mercy of companies if he is not satisfied with their services. He just has to post his experience on the Facebook wall or another social network or share his experience with a simple tweet. Since the communication these sites has potential to become viral, it alerts other consumers about non-responsive company. A complaint on social sites evokes faster response than writing an email to the company.

Social networking sites have become integral part of social life. It does not matter if a person is a customer, producer or a marketer. If he is not using social site he is risking losing his business to his competitor.

Marketers have begun using the social sites to broadcast their message. There have been cases where the company whose product failed initially was able to re-launch the product successfully with the help of social sites.

Ironically, it is estimated that only 7% of marketers utilize the power of social sites. Given their enormous clout in terms of reach and viral nature, social sites have forged way ahead of traditional form of communication like e-mail. The phenomenon of social sites has just begun and it is here to stay for years to come.

There is much more scope for innovation in the technological interface of social networking sites. As the technology progresses we may witness the complete integration of various applications within social networking sites.

News publication leads to effective link building!

October 4, 2010 By freshwebz

Effective link building depends on strategies and tactics that make other websites want to link to the publishing page. Unique website content is probably the best way to achieve such goals naturally and trouble-free. Good content catches the attention, and if you focus on high quality, chances of success increase considerably. The entire world wide web depends on content; search engines depend on it and so do web surfers, and the inter-dependency relation goes even further. Here are some of the tricks web developers use when writing content with the direct purpose of effective link building.

You can seriously improve effective link building by publishing valuable informative content, similar to the ‘news’. By ‘news’ I point to any interesting issue related to a particular topic: this could be a personal observation or something you’ve tested but it could also be a presentation of several points of view. Go for the scoop that no one has caught so far and you’ll generate links!

Be controversial! Controversial issues are like magnet for readers. This works great, because wherever there is something debatable, people follow the information more carefully, often returning for more. Needless to say how much this can do for effective link building!

Can you become an authority in your field by debunking theories? Articles used to debunk valuable theories in certain domains get huge exposure. Scientific opinions, evidence, arguments, advantages and disadvantages versus subjective impressions are just a few cases of the web content that attracts traffic and contributes to effective link building. You definitely have to be smart to do something like this!

Resourceful web pages also get a good amount of links. Informational pages are actually compilations of practical data that are filtered or distilled for the user. Thus, the average reader makes more out of such materials, as compared to the difficulty of understanding purely scientific language. Informative websites will provide their visitors with all they need to know on a certain topic or subject.

Content is the ‘primary matter’ for article marketing and effective link building implicitly. Articles can be used for more than just individual distribution: they can be put together in the form of free e-books, they can be included in press releases or they could turn into posts for forums, blogs or social networks. Link building success usually depends on the quality of content.

One way link building can be achieved by numerous ways?

September 30, 2010 By freshwebz

Almost every online marketer knows the importance of one way link building. There are numerous types of links, but none as advantageous as incoming one. A smart web developer that sticks to a high quality standard, has the chance of achieving natural one way building, solely by the use of good content. Here are some of the major benefits of one-way links.

Incoming links do not oblige any reciprocity for link building.

You don’t have to worry about link control and link management.

They attract the most relevant, targeted traffic of all.

Page ranking improves with a growth in the number of incoming links.

There is on-going development for your website.

There are many strategies to achieve one way link building, but the best of all remains content. Other websites link to pages that have something interesting to offer. The links to your page are a tribute and a confirmation of the quality you provide. Web visitors are thus encouraged to click on links and get even more advantages from their Internet surfing experience.

With one way link building other websites are encouraging web surfers to visit your page, because of the benefits that you can provide for a certain category of users. Such subtle features make one way link building superior indeed. A business can consolidate reputation, build customer loyalty and achieve so much more thanks to the growing number of one way links.

Of course there are techniques and strategies meant to improve one way link building. Some solutions seem better inspired than others. Lots of clever developers have created small software, e-guides, e-books or other types of materials that they provide for free. The only condition for accessing or using the materials in question is to link back to their website.

Other strategies meant to maximize one way link building include blog and social network posts, forum comments, press releases, newsletters and white papers. Web surfers need information, they depend on it. And this is precisely what you have to provide in order to create good business opportunities for your company.

If you don’t have the time to handle one way link building on your own, you can try professional assistance or consultancy. There is a diversity of offers that you can choose from. Good luck!

The Top Converting SEO Copy Methods

September 29, 2010 By freshwebz

SEO Copywriting is the skill and art of developing content that is appealing to search engines but is also interesting and logical for human readers. You could also say that you’re writing and working with focus to give your target market the content it needs and at the same time helping the search engines find the content. Never-the-less, if your thoughts are that this is about just stuffing your content with keywords, then you have misjudged it. The idea behind SEO copywriting is not to add random keywords to your content but to build the content around the keywords. This article discusses a few useful tips that you can use right now that to help with SEO copywriting.

Search engines are smarter than in the past and so only rank content that humans will find useful. That means you will have to focus on providing quality content if you hope to be a successful copywriter. What are people looking for when they use the search engines to find information? They’re looking for something that offers them that quality and gives them a solution to their problems. One of the main reasons why writers fail to create a SEO centric copy is because they give more emphasis on the quantity of the content, rather than the quality. It’s important to create content that provides the necessary information but that also utilizes the proper keywords to help the search engines. Search engines put a lot of importance on content that gives readers useful information. Great SEO copy provides you with a lot of benefits. For instance, when your readers find that the content is highly useful, especially the bloggers, they’ll link to it. Again, this would help you increase your search engine rankings because you’ll be getting backlinks. Therefore, you now see that creating content that relates is so effective. Keep in mind when you’re writing your content that you need to make it easier for search engines to index it correctly. Keep your content shown as plain text and avoid flash or words written on graphics as these don’t contribute to your rankings. Search engines won’t be able to read flash, which means your webpage wouldn’t get indexed. This can damage your ranking results in the search engines.

When you’re using images within your copy, you need to realize the importance of adding captions to describe those images. The captions won’t be used to help your readers, they’ll instead be used by search engines like Google to find out how your images are being utilized. This is why it’s important to utilize your keywords in the captions you use for your images so that the search engines will rank you higher. In summary, SEO copywriting is a skill that takes time to develop, so make sure you put in the effort to see great results.

Cheap Web Hosting from £1.49pm – site relaunch on dedicated hosting domain.

September 24, 2010 By freshwebz

I was offering cheap web hosting from a sub directory of the main FreshWebz site, but decided to launch it as a standalone product, on it’s own domain freshwebz-hosting.co.uk. This should prove easier to promote & optimise for search. It’s a very competitive market, but I’m not trying to fight the big boys, just pick up a reasonable number of clients with some very affordable prices.

As well as affordable UK hosting, I’m now offering dedicated server hosting as well…….not sure how many small businesses will require a dedicated server(!), but if the service grows, it may be a valuable additional product.

I’m offering Web Builder Plus as an optional add-on for my customers, so they can buy a domain & hosting package, add Web Builder Plus & get a great looking website online from only £53.16, inclusive of taxes!!!

Cheap web hosting doesn’t have to be low quality! With Linux AND Windows hosting from only £1.49 £0.99 per month, FreshWebz offers VERY affordable hosting.
